The Untold Stories

My name is Mega Mariesta Dewi. People usually call me Mega. I’m a student 20 years old. I was born and growth in Yogyakarta city but now I have been living far away from Yogyakarta to studying in Bandung and try to live independently.

Living far away from my family beg me to always act good to everyone around me. Beside that, friend network connection very needed because I think when we live far away from our real family, friend should become main family. I feel comfortable when there are many best friend around me and caring me.

I like meet with new people who has variety background (and I don’t like compare them) so, it isn’t enough to me to looking for new friend just from one place. That’s why I like to join an organization. I think organization is look like a rainbow: they look beautiful even though diversities inside visible.

First time I joined organization when I was in junior high school, my goal is not more than just seek new friend and fill my free time. But when I involve in, my point of view about organization has changed. School organization not just give me new friend but also give me new knowledge about how to run organization well, procedure and ethics to delegate the tasks, coordination, Standard operational procedure, and the most important thing is develop leadership skill.

I continue this activity till present after vacuum for a long time when I was in senior hi school because of acceleration class schedule didn’t give me free time to join organization. In my campus, I noted as one of students representative member or Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM), Unit Kegiatan mahasiswa and sometimes join an event committee. Moreover, I studying management science, to lerning and understanding about management well, I must practice and applying directly in an organization.

Time flies, I have been 3 years in Bandung. Unfortunately, I join organization just in campus. So, when first time I heard about AIESEC from my friend’s story, I’m interested. Moreover when I learn more from AIESEC official website I more interested started to expand global networking. We know that AIESEC is an international organization which one of the goal is to develop youth leadership skill. So give me permission to join AIESEC because I will looking for new knowledge, experience and friends networking in new place. I wish everything I get could be useful wherever I am.
